Communication and Leadership Skills Training
for Every Level of an Organization
The Decker Group provides both organizational and interpersonal
skills building workshops and coaching sessions that will
lead your employees to acquire both the mind set and the
ability to apply the tools needed to be a successful communicator
or leader.
Whether working one-on-one or
in a group workshop, learning occurs through supportive
coaching, role plays, exercises and demonstrations with
continuous video and live audience feedback. As a result,
your participants will learn to communicate in a clear,
confident, and assertive way whether leading an organization,
giving presentations, facilitating meetings, managing
projects, selling ideas, or building teams.
Learning is enhanced because specific strategies and
tools are customized to the exact needs of each person.
Customization starts by learning about people before training.
As a result, we begin prepared to teach people strategies
and give positive suggestions for improvement. This ensures
they finish training ready to apply the new learning immediately
back at work.
Meeting Your Organization's Needs
Prior to training, we get to know each person's strengths
and exact needs. This is done through pre-workshop meetings
with the participants as well as the requestor of services.
This allows us to customize our workshop agendas to the
needs of our clients as well as the needs of your individual
workshop participants. Learning occurs through expert,
supportive coaching, exercises and demonstrations. Depending
on the course being delivered, we may include continuous
live and videotaped feedback.
Tailoring Training
We start by gathering information to customize training
to your unique and specific requirements by:
- Distributing, collecting, and analyzing pre-training
questionnaires and interview data from attendees and
possibly managers. This includes both information about
what they see are their strengths and needs as well as
preliminary ideas of what areas they wish to improve
upon.
- After gathering all of this information, we will analyze
the data to develop your unique and specific agenda.
- Prior to class and throughout the actual workshop
or coaching session, we develop specific coaching strategies
for each person.
- To optimize training, some classes will require that
each member of the class will prepare and complete a
brief pre-workshop assignment.
Learning the Skills to Succeed
From the gathered information we will develop an agenda.
It will include training with time to practice. It may
also include videotaped examples and videotaping of exercises
with instructor and group review.
Sessions are given in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere
that fosters learning and incorporation of our proven methods.
